America

The modern era of multiculturalism in America has brought with it a lack of appreciation for the value of American symbols. The pride that once was felt with the raising of our flag, the singing of our anthem, has become for so many politically incorrect.

Immigrants once actively assimilated into American culture and appreciated the liberty they were afforded in our great nation. They worked hard to learn our language and culture. The countries where they came from had not given them the opportunities they found here.

Our President has gone overseas and spoke of America in less than flattering terms. He has brought shame on our great nation that has done so much for so many inspite of our mistakes.

We need to stop saying "God Bless America", instead we should say "America Bless God!!!

My Husband Rocks Friday

happy first day of fall!

Last week when we were on vacation we were all done with the beach thing and I mentioned going to Savannah for a day. My sweet hubby drove all day Friday, traversing the bottom half of Georgia to get me there. What a sweetie!!!

When we got home I had to ready the house for a ladies Bible study. I looked up on one of our high walls and saw that his deer head was very dusty. He got one of his ladders and cleaned the deer and the wall of dust. Then proceeded to rescreen the front door and replace the molding around it because it was looking ragged.

WHAT????

Seriously? We have school children singing Obama's praises? I wouldn't have believed it had I not seen it with my own eyes.

Can anyone say Hitler?

Song 1:
Mm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said that all must lend a hand
To make this country strong again
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said we must be fair today
Equal work means equal pay
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said that we must take a stand
To make sure everyone gets a chance
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said red, yellow, black or white
All are equal in his sight
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

Yes!
Mmm, mmm, mm
Barack Hussein Obama

Song 2:
Hello, Mr. President we honor you today!
For all your great accomplishments, we all doth say "hooray!"

Hooray, Mr. President! You're number one!
The first black American to lead this great nation!

Hooray, Mr. President we honor your great plans
To make this country's economy number one again!

Hooray Mr. President, we're really proud of you!
And we stand for all Americans under the great Red, White, and Blue!

So continue ---- Mr. President we know you'll do the trick
So here's a hearty hip-hooray ----

Hip, hip hooray!
Hip, hip hooray!
Hip, hip hooray!

Home Sweet Home

We had an awesome vacation! It was good to relax and enjoy the majesty of God's vast creation, the ocean.

Each morning I sat on the balcony with coffee just enjoying the view of the waves, the sand and the birds.

While there Hannah made us Key Lime Pie. It was wonderful and tart!!

Hannah took some amazing pictures during the week.

goodbye, beach.

We left Florida and decided to traverse the bottom half of Georgia and visit Savannah for a day. It is one of my favorite cities. On the way we saw many cotton fields; the kids were totally fascinated with them. We stopped so they could examine them and Hannah could take pictures.

While in Savannah we ate at Lady and Sons; it was very good. We walked River Street and drove around looking at the beautiful homes. We had a full day before packing up to come home!

the beach

We are having a great time here at the beach. Above is the view from our balcony!

Last night the Queen family took on the Lazy River. It was halarious especially when the kids decided we should do a human train as the 'river' carried us along. Oh my!!!

Yesterday morning I watched a storm come in over the water; it was powerful and awesome. All I could think about was the awesomeness of God. Just beautiful...

If you read my Facebook you know while in Montgomery our car got broken in to. Never dull! We failed to take out our GPS out of the car, so they saw opportunity. They got Wm's GPS, camera (not Hannah's), an inverter, CD's, our car GPS and Wm's geocaching bag. Oh well, just stuff. Amazingly they didn't take our Bibles!!

William has been geocaching (bought new GPS when we arrived) in the early mornings while I sit on the patio and read and the kids sleep. He has been enjoying myself immensely.

Shopping the outlets today!!!

It Is Almost Time!!

http://www.chealthcare.com/images/Florida_Beach.jpg

In less than 24 hours we will be on our way to blue waters and sand!!! Everyone is excited and itching to get going. Today we are packing, making lists and dreaming about ocean breezes.

We are going to need u-haul to take everything we need! I have to take a big pot for a seafood boil as the condo has no large pots. Loads of beach towels, snacks, chairs, bags, etc. The list goes on...

We are leaving a day early to geo-cache on the way; dorky I realize, but fun. Should have lots of pictures to post.

Wish we could take some of you with us!

This young man is in love with his new guitar. We found a great deal on a used Blueridge earlier this week. It sounds awesome, so much richer than his beginner instrument.

Hayden is becoming a great guitar player and has shown the persistence needed to be an accomplished musician. He has much yet to learn, but he is well on his way.

He is blessed to have a wonderful young man as his teacher. Matt encourages him at every turn and applauds even the smallest improvement. He even 'jams' with Hayden when they are together which helps his confidence tremendously!

"My Husband Rocks" Friday

William was off work because of the weather. The kids and myself were helping a lady from our church get ready to move; her husband is in Iraq and she is moving to the base where they will be stationed when he returns. We were mainly helping with her children as the movers do all the packing and loading; so William didn't need to help us.

William decided to take all the furniture out of the dining room, clean the floors good and put down some shine stuff! What a sweet surprise!! They look amazing!

My husband ROCKS!!!!!

Hannah took this shot of Sarah yesterday in Chattanooga. She steers away from photographing people, but I think she does a great job.

Check out her Etsy shop here!!!
