Should Have Named Her Grace!

[82/365] opps!

Hannah was putting up dishes the other day and sat a stack on the island. She turned around and knocked all of them off. Fortunately these are old and I am tired of them! It was a mess!! We had some in the barn boxed that had never been used; it is fun to have 'new' dishes.

Order of the Arrow

http://www.oa-bsa.org/resources/logos/gif125/logo_125.gifThis past weekend Hayden went through his ordeal to become a member of the Order of the Arrow. His dad is a member and is so proud that his son is following in his footsteps.

Boy Scouts is such an awesome program and to be able to share the experience with his dad is such a blessing.

Spring

(69/365) jump!
[78/365] signs of spring
(68/365) "It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade."

The days are getting longer and it is warming up. We have been longing for sunshine and the outdoors.

After dinner the kids wanted to go to the park. Hannah wanted to take pictures; she loves evening light. Sarah just loves to commune with nature; she has to be Hannah's model also. Hayden wanted to swing... and jump.

We saw the first signs of spring!

Northeast Georgia Centennial Service Project

SCAN0056

Saturday my guys woke up at 4am to meet up with the scout troop. They headed out to Jake Bull Mountain to repair the trail system.

The Northeast Georgia Council and the US Forest Service partnered up to do this service project. They worked from 7 am to 5 pm. A long day, but the trails were repaired!!

[43/365] oh, snow.

bare

I was talking to someone yesterday about living in this rural area.

If you live in the city, life goes on year round; more than likely your job is year round.

It is interesting living where winters are still hard on families. Many here, including us, can't work in the winter. We wait for spring to begin our jobs again and plant our fields.

Right now we are waiting for the ground to dry so we can till the dirt. It has been so wet due to the snow that everyone is going to be late getting things in the ground. The Farmers Market will open later because of this.

So much is dependent on the weather here.

Would I trade it? No.
