Geocaching Boys

William and Hayden met some friends that moved away last year this morning, then decided to do a little geocaching. We live near a old copper mine and there is a cache there. The mines are very cool and Hayden enjoyed the old mine things that were on display.

And it is great father and son time!

Scouting

This weekend the scouts participated in a horsemanship campout. They camped and rode horses! Hayden had been very apprehensive about getting on a horse, but decided to push forward. That's my boy! "DO HARD THINGS"!!




Hayden learned something new about himself and something about horses, which I happen to love. I rode during my preteen and teen years and loved very minute of it. Horses are intelligent, beautiful animals. And they have the softest noses!!




Being at someone's ranch, they had to wear helmets which doesn't make you look terribly cool, but it is safe. Safe trumps cool. You go boy!

They Are Coming Home!!!

They are coming home tomorrow!!! William and Hayden have been a scout camp for a week and I miss them so much. They have had a great week and Hayden should now be 2nd Class and have two additional merit badges. That's my boy!!
